„Contemporary History of Ukraine #18“ (CHU) is an installation by the Ukraininan film maker Oksana Kazmina. Starting with a history of Kyiv’s underground scene, the project developed into an open collection of material that tells of crisis-ridden life in contemporary Ukraine.
Currently, 37 writers and cultural workers are imprisoned. Despite the extreme restrictions, these imprisoned writers remain active and have published hundreds of poems, stories, and novels.
