Concert and performance: NixNoies

NixNoies – or »nothing new« – is the solo project of Georgian musician and artist Nino Tsimakuridze, who operates between synth pop, lo-fi, and independent music. The arrangement was exclusively written for the 3-octave Yamaha synthesizer. Fictional relationships oscillating between reality and illusion form the basis of her lyrics. Driven by the need for a melancholic world, she explores the longing for direct and real relationships. Harmonic transitions and dissonant sounds push the listener back and forth between comfort and discomfort, aiming to transport them atmospherically into an in-between world. High, partly dissonant synth sounds and gentle, melodic vocals balance each other out, creating a sense of togetherness where each listener can hope for and dream of a conclusion.
