Der Almanach zum 7. Oktober – Versuch einer Einordnung (The Almanac for October 7 – An Attempt at Classification)
A book presentation by Prof. Gisela Dachs
October 7, 2023 represents an unprecedented turning point for Israelis. From now on, there will only be a before and an after in the calendar. The sheer scale and outrageous brutality of the Hamas attacks, the hostage-takings and a war longer than any before have traumatized the nation. The foundations on which people felt secure in their own state have been deeply shaken. How can a new beginning succeed here?
In cooperation with the Leo Baeck Institute Jerusalem.
With the kind support of the Leibniz Institute for Jewish History and Culture – Simon Dubnow
