„Contemporary History of Ukraine #18“ (CHU) is an installation by the Ukraininan film maker Oksana Kazmina. Starting with a history of Kyiv's underground scene, the project developed into an open collection of material that tells of crisis-ridden life in contemporary Ukraine.
The exhibition ‘Land(e)scapes. Recognising Fragmentarity’ follows artistic strategies in its examination of war, displacement, repression and flight. It designs mythological shelters, deconstructs ideologies, identifies gaps in the historiography and examines the fragments of devastated landscapes and bodies. Opening of the group exhibition ‘Land(es)scapes’ at HALLE 14 in Leipzig. The exhibition shows ten works from Ukraine, Armenia, Belarus and Turkey as part of the REVOLUTIONALE Festival for Change.
