Speaker 2023 – Alexandra Kemmerer
Alexandra Kemmerer is senior research fellow and academic coordinator at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg, and head of the Institute’s Berlin office, a platform for intellectual encounters inspired by current legal scholarship. Alexandra has widely published as an academic and journalist, her current research interests include international and European law and its histories and theories, histories of legal scholarship and its institutions, pasts and futures of public discourse as a commons, transitional justice and the politics of memory. In 2022-23, she has curated an MPIL lecture series on Ukraine and international law at the Württemberg State Library, Stuttgart.
